So what's been going on at pro Health Blog? Not much, really, but still quite a few things. Having posted only about 2 updates in the last month, it seemed as if I might've abandoned things here. Yet, nothing's further from the truth!
Even though real life things have been keeping me busy for quite a few weeks, I managed to get my 16 Fat Loss Tips article up and running. It has gotten some big time traffic from StumbleUpon in the past few days with nearly as much visitors in 3 days as I got in the whole month of april!
With this article I even broke my All Time number of Comments per post Record which was previously set at 7 comments, and now moved up to a whopping 8 comments, of which only 2 were mine! Do I hear a Yipee!? *grins*
As a way of saying thank you I decided to join the Do Follow Blog Movement. I have removed all the "No Follow" tags from my comments, which means Google will now love your link in my comments to it's fullest. I also changed my comment layout (read: I selected another comment template), so now the URL will match the Anchor Text. You can set this under the "Name" field. (An Anchor Text is the Text which is assigned to your URL. Anchors Texts are important to consider if you want to do well in the Google search results. An example of an Anchor Text is the 16 Fat Loss Tips earlier in this post. "16 Fat Loss Tips" was in this case my Anchor Text).
Before you try out the Link Lovin Comment Section, Just some basic rules I would want you to consider:
- No Spamming!
- Variations on the Anchor Text, other than your own name, are allowed if and when you make a "decent contribution", or when you've commented before.
To start of the Link Lovin' right this second I will spotlight some excellent healthy lifestyle blogs I discovered in the last few weeks:
- Health Nut Wannabee Mom: Heidi, the mom responsible for this blog, is not only a Health Nut... she's a bagged and ready good to go NUT in general. Who else would put up an image online with a Cat and Dog Drinking Tea in a Tea Health Benefits article? You gotta love it =)
- My Real Life Fitness: Denise loves her job as a certified fitness instructor while passionately sharing her knowledge on her blog. She also has an awesome newsletter, called Welness Wednesday, which is a lot different from the standarized feedburner mailings and is definitely worth subscribing to.
- John is Fit: John, also known as John Gone Strong, Big John or more recently, Arms-of-Jello John, probably needs no introduction in the healthy lifestyle blogosphere. If you've read some of the weight loss blogs out there, you must've encountered this guy at some point in time. Read about John's Journey from Fat to Fit and Join John on his new Forums.
I would like to share a lot more link love, but my time for the day has just about run out. To benefit from some of the link juice as well, just leave a comment!
Update: I have decided to reinstall the nofollow attribute. I'm sorry for this! In the short amount of time I used this feature some serious problems arose. Not only did the amount of spam dramatically increase, which isn't the worst thing, but also were many of my pages removed from their google search result positions. I can't tell for sure if this is caused by the do follow plugin, yet I don't want to take any risks either.
